Call for music

CMMR 2023 (International Symposium on Computer Music Multidisciplinary Research) welcomes submissions of music / sound art works that will be presented in the conference program. Works are preferably expected to meet the conference theme: “Music: Bridge after the turmoil.” 

Works with multi-channel audio are also acceptable and will be encoded in binaural format for the presentation by the organizer. Selected works will be performed at the concert at ONGAKU NO TOMO HALL in Tokyo. 

Important Dates:
・Apl. 2023: Open call 
・7 Jul, 2023: Dead line
・25 Aug, 2023: Notification of acceptance
・15-19 Nov, 2023: Conference (14/15 Nov, 2023: Concert) 

Topics: 
The topics include but not limited to:
• Acousmatic and Spatial Music (multi channel up to 8ch) 
• Audiovisual Works
• Computer-aided Acoustic Composition
• Fixed Media
• Instrument(s) + Electronics
• Laptop Orchestra/Live Coding
• Live Electronics
• The virtuoso new interface

Submissions:
・Submissions are limited to one work per person / team; each work should not exceed 15 minutes.
・For the presentation of accepted works, the artist or at least one of the collaborators must register for the conference.
・Since the conference will be held in person, the composer(s) and the performer(s) of the selected works are required to come to Tokyo at their own expense.
・The artist must hold the copyright of submitted materials to be used in CMMR 2023.
